100 Days of Coaching

Coaching for 100 days in a row?

Coaching 100 people you’ve never coached before?

Doing it all FOR FREE?

Are you crazy???

If you have seen my posts on the Facebook page about the “100 Days of Coaching Challenge,” then these may have been some of the questions that came up for you. If so, this blog is for you! And if not, this blog is STILL for you because it’s going to tell you not only WHAT this challenge is all about but also WHY I decided to do it!

About a month ago, a mentor of mine inspired me to think about the bold actions I wanted to take in my life and my business (thank you #ritamademedoit). I didn’t realize it at the time (at least not consciously), but in order to do that, I needed to think about what really matters to me and how to move toward those things. While that sounds like a daunting task, I’m happy to report that, thanks to trusting my gut (see my blog post “Fear and What to Do About It” for more about that!), it was actually pretty simple!

#1 was growing my business so that I can expand my visibility to others, enabling me to support as many people as possible with their personal and professional growth. I started my own coaching business so that I could help people achieve the lives they truly want. I believe we all have an inner voice/intuition/part of us that knows who we are meant to be and what we are meant to do in this world. I also know how terrifying it can be to listen to that voice, particularly if it’s telling us to be someone or do something that feels impossible or at odds with who we believe we are. And then there’s how difficult it can be to know what to do with what our inner voice is telling us…or sometimes, even knowing what the voice is trying to say! So I became a coach in order to partner with others to help them navigate that journey…but they can only do that if they know who I am and what I do!

#2 was helping others to gain an understanding of what professional coaching is and what it can do for your life. There are MANY people who call themselves coaches in the world today, with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and levels of professional training. While I think that can be both good (as it provides options) and bad (because it can be hard to separate coaches you might want to hire from ones you don’t---more on that in a future blog!), I think it can also be confusing! With so many folks calling themselves coaches but doing such different things, how can you know what coaching is, if it might benefit you, etc.? While I am happy to talk to you about that (just email me), I think that the best way to gain an understanding of what coaching is and how it can benefit you is through the experience of being coached!

#3 was helping potential clients (or referrals) determine if I was a good coaching fit for them. As I mentioned before, there are many coaches out there. As such, it’s important to consider your options and choose a coach who is a good fit for you. Obviously I want to gain clients; after all, I am running a business! That said, I want the RIGHT clients…clients who will benefit from what I have to offer…clients who feel pulled toward the type of coaching I offer…and clients who I am excited to coach and who are excited to coach with me (although nervous excitement is okay too!) I believe finding the right coach/client match is an important part of the coaching relationship, and I believe the best way to know if I’m a good fit for you or someone you know is to experience my coaching!

When the idea for the “100 Days of Coaching Challenge” came to me, I knew in my gut (yep, that old “gut” thing again!) that it was a leap I needed to take. In hindsight, I can see quite clearly that it was my own intuition/inner voice pushing me in the direction of my values, helping nudge me toward who I want to be and what I want to contribute in this world. So that is how the challenge was born!

As for what it is, that’s actually pretty simple. Starting September 1st, I have set aside 100 FREE 30-minute coaching spots, one per day for 100 days. There are NO strings, NO hidden costs, and NO expectations (other than telling others about your experience if you liked my coaching and are so inclined.) You are simply helping me to achieve my objectives of expanding my visibility, generating understanding around what coaching is/can do, and showcasing who I am as a coach…and getting FREE coaching for yourself in the process!

If you are interested in free coaching, all you need to do is email me at Becky@highergoodcoaching.com to claim your spot! And feel free to share this opportunity with others; you never know who might be able to benefit from it!

YOU are the expert of your own life; let me help you discover your expertise!
